- The Koutoubia Mosque. The Koutoubia minaret reaching 70 m is an orientation point visible from many kilometres.
- Djemaa el Fna place. The nerve centre of Marrakech, the immense Djemaa el Fna place, in the heart of the medina, offers un incredible open air spectacle. Though being busy at all times of the day, it becomes fully awake when the night falls. The curtain then raises exposing countless rows of stalls offering food filling the air with seductive scents.
- The souks Marrakech owes its fame both to the beauty of its monuments and to its renowned exciting colourful souks, recognized for the quality of handicraft goods offered.
- Marrakech Museum. Inaugurated in 1997, the Marrakech Museum is housed in the Dar Menebhi, a magnificently restored palace of the 19th century. Its temporary expositions, often thematic, are focused on the Moroccan cultural heritage and contemporary art.
- Majorelle Garden and Museum of Islamic Art. Among cactuses, bamboo trees and cascades of bougainvilleas, a villa in bright blue is set, housing the museum. Its collections include rugs, curtains, girdles, jewellery and manuscripts.
- The Saadian tombs were erected in the 16th century by the Saadian sultan Ahmad al-Mansur for himself and his very large family. The sultan and his favourites rest in the Room of Three Recesses. The tombs of his spouses and advisors are in the garden.
